2017 "Feelings in Motherhood" Flip Chart Training at Parkview Hospital

On June 19, 2017, IEMMHC hosted a training for the local community partners who work with pregnant and postpartum women. Over 100 people attended. The training had a panel from the community of local behavioral health providers who communicated with healthcare providers on how to refer women to their services who needed treatment. The training educated professionals on how to screen women using a validated tool, how to educate the women using the newly developed "Feelings in Motherhood" flip chart, and provided them with a list of local resources where they can refer women for treatment and further evaluation. WIC also came to educate on breastfeeding and how that relates to women who experience PMADs. The training was a big hit!
